Christmas Eye Chart!

I wanted to make my own :)

SO this is what I came up with!

Beauty in the Darkness & Mushrooms

It amazing how some things appear in the dark of the night.

Last night I was walking my dogs before bed time and stumbled upon some mushrooms.

But unlike the white one that I normally see these ones were colorful and spotted :)

With the night sky and little bit of yellow light coming from the building near by...

I instantly knew that they would make for some amazing photos.

So right after letting the puppies do their business...

 I walked back to the house and grabbed my camera.

I didn't take many because it was freezing outside

But...

the ones that I did manage to capture came out pretty good.

So here is the before and after of the mini mushroom photo shoot :)

Sleeping in on Black Friday

No work

No Shopping

Just me, the dogs and some dirty dishes.

I did make a run to the post office to send some mail out and run to the dollar tree...

But that was the extent of my BLACK Friday.

Just the way I like it hehe

(Plus I went dancing last night to burn off all those extra calories so I'm extra tired)

;-D

Maybe one of these years I will indulge in waking up at 

4 in the morning just to snag some amazing deals. 

But I just haven't found the time or the money to go blow ...

I would rather spend my time in the kitchen battling mixers and timers

rather than getting ran over by rude people and fighting my way through endless crowds!

So what about you?

Any amazing deals that you would like to brag about?

I will admit that there was a lot of online deals that were tempting.

But just not this year.

Modern Snow White

So I started analyzing some photo's of Disney Princesses 

and then looked at some modern spins on the classic Princess look

all the while thinking to myself this would be so much fun to recreate.

So I went hunting... hunting on the web that is lol

I started looking around thinking if the Princesses became apart of this modern day world...

What would their fashion statement be????

This is when I created my own mock of the Classic Disney Princess turned Modern day girl.

Because sometimes We just want to feel Princess like.

Horse Carriage rides, Glass slippers, fairy god mothers, really good singing voices...

AND, that wonderful wardrobe that every Princess needs.

The First look I did was Snow White.

I did the wonderful evening wear/ cocktail part get up.

Then the second look is

College girl or Coffee with friends look...

Something that the everyday gal could pull of.

So cute and simple with that Snow White effect on it all :)

Now I want that Yellow blouse. I also have a DIY for the red headband coming soon!!

There are many more looks to come :D

So much fun.

Testing Day!

I've always been a bad tester and a good crafter.

lol

That's why instead of worrying about the test I'm thinking about my next DIY project :)

As seen on My Crazy Life this ruffled tree skirt is a very simple DIY. Will see if I can slowly gather the supplies needs for this lovely creation. Maybe I'll have it done by... December 1 :)

But I did pass my test and I'm registered for my new class for January. 

I'm so excited to be going back to school :)

Falling (ramble blog)

Falling

Sometimes you just feel like your falling 

or maybe you want to fall.

So while contemplating all of this after Church

and going back over all those day to day stresses...

I just stopped and remembered that falling isn't so bad!

We fall as kids.

We fall as adults.

But do any of us remember that wonderful book filled

with poetry call Falling Up ?

I loved love reading this book!

Like I said maybe sometimes fallings isn't so bad.

:)

Then I started to think about that band that I like...

Once again called "Falling Up"

Seriously, what a way to fall...UP!

Just like that movie UP.

Got a little inspired this Friday Evening and I figured I would take some time and try my own hand at a written college...

The snow is almost here...

I remember last year with all the snow that we got right here in Seattle...

Or should I be more correct and say Seatac lol

I even got to experience a white Christmas.

Which for me is something amazing...

I grew up in Sunny San Diego 

Snow there...

Just doesn't happen :(

Most we ever got was some hearty hail.

So to heres all the amazing memories of last year and the lovely whiteness <3

Mini Pinata time

Trying something new:

Mini Pinatas.

• As seen here I talked about where I got this very cute idea :)

My traditional way of doing pinatas

 is nothing like this, 

it normally consist of 

balloons, water, glue, and paper.

I have seen them done

differently before...

I just never got the chance to do them...

So here it is...

scissors, pencil, tape, a shape & ribbon

paper & spray glue

After getting all the supplies that I thought I would need...

I got to work...

Slowly but surely the little guy started to come along!

Its Starting...

its coming together...

All sides up :)

Ribbon inserted :)

Little over half way done... time to go cook dinner :)

And the Final product looks a little like this!

maybe needs a little trimming...
